MiniBook – Statusbar & Buttons

User Manual – Log Interface Operation

🔘 Button Bar

  1. Wipe (F1)
Clears all input fields, allowing you to start entering a new QSO quickly.
Useful when preparing for the next contact.

  2. Lookup (F2)
Looks up the entered callsign on QRZ (or another online source) and automatically fills in known information such as operator name and QTH.

  3. Log QSO (F5)
Saves the current QSO entry to the logbook.
After saving, the status bar updates with the details of this contact.

  4. EXIT
Safely closes the application, ensuring all data is properly saved.

📊 Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the MiniBook main window and consists of two parts:

🔹 Last QSO Information

After each logged contact, this section displays:

  • The callsign of the last logged station.

  • The time, frequency, and mode of that contact.

  • Example: Last QSO with PI4RCK at 05:56:08 on 3.750 MHz in LSB.

This allows you to confirm immediately that the QSO was saved correctly.

🔹 QRZ Status

This area shows the current status of QRZ.com lookups and uploads.
Typical messages include:

  • 🔵 Found [call] in QRZ lookup – The callsign was successfully found and details retrieved.

  • ⚪ Looking up [call]… – The system is currently searching QRZ for this callsign.

  • 🔴 Call not found on QRZ – No match was found; lookup returned no results.

  • ✅ QSO successfully uploaded to QRZ – The contact has been uploaded to your QRZ logbook.

  • ⚠️ Duplicate QSO – The QSO already exists in your QRZ logbook.

  • ❌ Wrong station_callsign – Your configured callsign does not match your QRZ logbook.

  • ❌ Upload failed – The upload failed due to an error or lost connection.

  • ⚡ QRZ API key missing or invalid – The API key is missing or incorrect.

  • 🌐 No internet connection – No network detected; lookup or upload unavailable.

These notifications provide a quick overview of QRZ activity and logging status.
