Introducing HAM4LIFE

Ham4Life started as one idea: put your station live on the web. It has grown into something bigger. Today ham4life.com is a portal — one home for all the amateur-radio software and web apps I build. The live station dashboard is still here (and better than ever), but it now sits alongside a growing family of tools, each on its own subdomain.

Head over to ham4life.com and you will find every project as a card you can click straight through to. Here is what is on offer today.

The projects

📊 Dashboard — dashboard.ham4life.com

The original Ham4Life: a free, live station dashboard for radio amateurs. Register your callsign and get a personal, shareable page that shows your frequency, band, mode, operator and active/inactive status in real time. Great for contests, DXpeditions, Field Days and simply letting your friends see when you are on the air.

  • Live station cards — real-time updates straight from your logging software.
  • Event pages — a dedicated page per event with live dashboards, info and photos.
  • Community feed wall — all published stations in one place.
  • Multi-radio — several feeds under a single callsign.

It works with your existing logger through the small Windows helper, the Web Dashboard Feeder:

  • N1MM Logger+ (UDP)
  • MiniBook (UDP)
  • Ham Radio Deluxe (TCP/IP server)
  • Log4OM2 (UDP)

Getting live takes five steps:

  1. Create an account on dashboard.ham4life.com.
  2. Register your callsign.
  3. Generate your API key.
  4. Install and configure the Web Dashboard Feeder.
  5. Fire up your logger — you are live at dashboard.ham4life.com/live/<yourcall>.

Note: the live dashboard has moved from ham4life.com/live/… to its own home at dashboard.ham4life.com/live/…. The main ham4life.com address is now the portal.

📒 MiniBook — minibook.ham4life.com

A lightweight logbook for your shack — quick, clean and made to get out of your way while you work stations. It also feeds straight into the Dashboard, so your log and your live page stay in sync.

🛰️ Pathfinder — pathfinder.ham4life.com

Antenna rotator control and satellite tracking. Point your array where it needs to be and keep up with passes — a handy companion for the beam and the birds alike.

🌍 Locator — locator.ham4life.com

A Maidenhead grid locator finder and distance tool. Look up a grid square, check a bearing and distance, and plan that next contact in seconds.

One portal, more to come

Bundling everything under ham4life.com means one place to bookmark, one look and feel across the tools, and room to grow. New projects will simply appear on the portal as they are ready — so it is worth checking back.

Everything is free to use. Give it a spin, put your station on the map, and let me know what you think.

See you on the portal — and on the air.
